Since ftv_web (the shell script-based web interface for furious_tv) is kind of a pain to setup (requiring a web serverer), I've been working on a more powerful, high performance GNOME front end for furious_tv written in C. So far the results are impressive (see the screenshot on the last news update) and development is going well.
I've decided to release a preview release of ftv_gnome because I think it's mostly usable now. Unfortunately, this version does not have much of the functionality required to setup a furious_tv database and parse listings, so for this release you need to have an already functioning furious_tv or ftv_web installation.
Version 1.0 of ftv_gnome will take care of all the furious_tv administration for you, provided that the furious_tv command line tools are installed. So if you don't know how to set up furious_tv or ftv_web, you're going to have to wait for version 1.0.
