Releases: ftv_gnome Version 1.1pre1 Released

ftv_gnome Favorites Preferences

Currently, all of the base code for managing favorites and resolving conflicts based on their priorities has been implemented. My original plan was to make a few UI changes and then test the development code before making a release. However, given that this is an open project, I decided to make a little development snapshot/release I like to call version 1.1pre1.

There is very little in the way of UI updates in this code, but the favorites code appears to be working quite well. You can set up the priority of your favorite programs and then when you update your TV listings, the shows will automatically be recorded and conflicts will be resolved based on the favorites data. It almost makes ftv_gnome run itself =)

ftv_gnome is still the GNOME front end for furious_tv. It is powerful and built for high performance. It isn't terribly fast, but it is much faster than anything else I have seen (and many times faster than ftv_web—the web-based interface). This release is a development release and may not function as advertised. Once bugs have been fixed and I have made some UI enhancements, I will release the next stable version, 1.1.
